Welcome to my site where color and metal meet to create dazzling effects in Jewelry pieces and Wall hangings. I work in Enamels that are fused to Fine Silver with 24K Gold in a kiln that is approximately 1450 degrees. I work mostly in the Cloisonne method which simply means that my enamels are separated by wires that are usually 24K Gold or Fine Silver. Most of my Jewelry pieces are complimented with Precious Stones that have been painstakingly picked out to match the Enamel pieces.
My love of nature influences many of my pieces and as an avid Equestrian, my fondness for horses can be seen throughout my work. I love to travel and my all time favorite place to visit is Africa where the numerous photographs of the fabulous wildlife gives me an unending inspiration of creativity.
My work has been presented in a variety of exhibitions, not only locally but in many International Exhibitions in Japan as well.
In 2002 I received First place awards in Jewelry and Enameling at the Dade County Youth Fair. In 2007, I entered a piece for jury and was accepted to the 20th International Cloisonne Jewelry Contest in Japan, exhibiting at the Pola Museum in Tokyo . In 2008, I entered three pieces to the 21st International Cloisonne Contest in Japan and all three were accepted.
In 2009, I entered Two enamels that were accepted to the International Exhibition of Japan Enameling Artist Association, exhibiting at the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo.
My work is also pictured in CONTEMPORARY ENAMELING by Lilyan Bachrach.
All my pieces are one of a kind, lovingly created by me. I do commissioned work, so if you have something special you would like created, please contact me for details.
